Special General Meeting - 10am Saturday 13 December 2025 (online)
Under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 (which replaced the 1908 Act), all incorporated societies are required to reregister under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 before 5 April 2026 in order to remain on the register.
As part of this process, we are required to update our constitution (formerly known as ‘rules’ but this is reverting back to ‘constitution’ under the new Act) to make sure it includes some specific content required under the new Act. It is also a good opportunity to update and modernise the constitution further, having already completed some of that work in 2022 when we last made changes.
At 10am on Saturday 13 December 2025 we will be holding a Special General Meeting online (virtually) over Microsoft Teams. Any member who is unable to attend but wants to vote is able to make a proxy vote.
Members will be voting to:
- approve the decision to reregister, and
- the new constitution.
We will be emailing all members an official notice of the Special General Meeting along with a copy of the proposed new constitution and a copy of the current constitution/rules for comparison.
Further information will be added to this webpage as it becomes available.
